My Marshmallow in Annyong Korea

*Postdated Travel Period: 12th Feb to 19th Feb (on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year)*

Many are urging me for photos... Finally I completed the arrangements of the trip to Seoul & Jeju, a family holiday that was way back in Feb. I hope I have the zest to finish off for the Bangkok trip in March, the Mexico, USA & Canada trip in April...the upcoming trip to Genting this month...and the Malaysia Kelong trip in July, gonna be a whole lot of photos to sort out!! However, I must say a BIG 'Thank You' to an old pal, Lynette, who taught me a shortcut way to consolidate my photos in collages. Thanks, pal! :)

Let's get started! Here's one memorable family trip that I'll never forget how cute my 2-and-a half year old Marshmallow looks. Of course, it's never easy to bring a very young one to an extreme cold country (way below 0 degree C most of the time with gutsy wind...the lowest at negative 26 degree C @ the ski resort) but after the trip, totally no regrets! Though it's frustrating & tiring to handle a cranky kid during a long night flight whose sleep is being disturbed by the noisy trolleys & bright lights when meals are served at 2am, the worries that the 'bonus smell' will affect others in the same bus if he poos big-time during long bus journey (lucky he never did that during the 8 days bus rides), no peaceful meals with an extremely chatty & active kid, plus the on-off puking on your hands due to the cold... well, those were nothing as nothing beats the awesome sight to see him enjoying every single minute with us, tons of close bonding. He is fascinated by the snowy mountain, the slippery icy road, the attire, the ski equipments and lots more. He learned so much from this 'excursion' trip. Both of us were impressed by his observations, his senses brought alive! Little things that he relates with the cold weather were unbelieveable. Besides, time waits for no man to see a kiddo below 3 yr old wearing a full ski suit, it's just so-so adorable!

For this trip, he is the only kid in the tour group and he is well-loved by everyone. He brought a lot of joy & laughter to many during those long bus journey rides. Many helped us with our stroller, bags etc. Everyone couldn't wait for the bus to stop at the next destination to meet up with the little one, many couldn't wait to play with him & holding his tiny gloved hands. His nickname 'Little Tiger' was given by the tour leader. While others called him 'Xiao-Bao-Bei' or 'marshmallow' as he no doubt looks like one with that bulky pure-down jacket!

For a start, Uncle Woon drove us to the airport on that day. Our excited little fellow kept repeating himself that he wanna take aeroplane. To date, he still thinks his daddy is a Pilot!! Haha...Why? He often sees his dad travels on business trips and his impression of his dad was that he works as a Pilot. Before we board the plane, he said he will sit with me and when I asked where will daddy sits? His reply was: Daddy drives aeroplane. Hahaahahaa.......kids are so innocent.

Though this is already his 3rd time travelling by air, it's only this time we noticed his curiousity about everything in the plane. Kept asking what each button along the sides of the seats serves. When I answered to his question, he will turn around to 'teach' his dad what I've taught him, as if his dad is as clueless as him. *Amusing* He is aware of the seat belt on his own seat and he buckle up on his own & reminded us that we should follow suit. After the flight to Seoul, we took another flight to Jeju on the 5th day...one funny thing happened. We never realised that he observed minor things that we did from the last flight (5 days back)such as requesting for a drink during the flight from Singapore to Seoul. Therefore, on our flight from Seoul to Jeju...this 'kay-kiang' kid did not know that it was a domestic flight and no meal will be served. This little fellow stopped an air-stewardess & asked loudly: "Apple Juice, please!"

His tone and actions were ultra-hilarious. Both of us burst out laughing after the stewardess(korean) ignored him. Ed turned back in dismay and asked why no Apple juice this time. After explaining to him, he still insists he should have a cuppa. We couldn't stop laughing. :P

My funky monkey went wild in Everland Themepark...

Embracing the nature for an exhilarating snow experience...@ Yongpyong Dragon Valley Ski Resort.

Favourite shots of my cutie monster!

Boat cruising over to Nami Island in icy water...mesmerizing by the enchanting scene of wide grassland, rows of chestnut trees, cottages and lake, blocks after blocks of ice-craving, just like flipping the pages of a fairy tale.

Nice gesture from the tour guide who took effort to upgrade our room every night to either with a bigger bed or to a suite, none others in the group has the privilege, we were lucky! Here's the 6-star Grande Sheraton Walker Hill Casino Hotel and pictures of us looking silly in Lotte World.

Enjoying life...in the comfy hotel room, looking at his reflection on the mirror or watching TV.

Camera, pls!

Large playroom for him to use, while waiting for the flight in the domestic airport to Jeju - The island of Dreams & fantasy. Oh, he saw a battery-operated toy in the airport that resemblance the plane we were taking & he pestered me to get it for him.

Our first stop in Jeju island - Moksukwon Park. Overall, we prefer Jeju than Seoul...a totally different feeling with its beautiful scenery. Weather wise, it's much colder in Jeju as it's much breezy over there.

In order to look pretty on photos, he still puts on a smile, though he was freezing cold and his nose was runny. That's very true for all Geminis, who are well-known to be born 'naturally vain'.

Plenty of Sashimi in Jeju. You name it, they have it, including this weird-looking fish.

Never fails to request for a shot when he sees me with a camera. Effortlessly, he will start his silly faces regime. How posey!

Song-up Folk Village...Songan Sunrise Peak & the Mysterious Road. Over there, we got 3 bottles of premium honey & 'Wu-Wei-Zi' that cost USD $45 a bottle. What a bargain, since it's sold for $99 a bottle in Singapore.

Captivated by the motorised bears, he ignored me upon hearing me calling out for his favourite - Photo-taking! Finally there is something that could amuses him more than a camera.

Of all the adorable plush bears...he chose the most ordinary-looking one. What he got from the 'Teddy-Bear Museum' were a teddy cap and the multi-colored bear. For me, nothing. *Sigh*

There he goes again. He posed and called me out to take a few photos of him. OMG!

Wow...kids' meal are much tastier than the adult set meals, and it comes with a cute toy. This fellow had a buffet of ice-creams & jelly. He shares a common liking with me... there's nothing nicer than a cup of yummy ice-cream during flight.

That's the job of a kid. Eat, Play & Sleep.
